Project Description

Harborough District Council

Website | Graphic design | Writing | Event support | Brochures

A folded pocket-sized map designed to promote attractions in Harborough District for Market Harborough District Council. Again, this was part of a Place Marketing initiative. Swordfish designed the map, created custom icons to represent key attractions, produced special cover art and arranged the printing and folding with a local supplier. The map worked alongside a new website Swordfish had created for the Council,

Visit Harborough Website

A new website for Harborough District Council as part of its Place Marketing. The site needed to promote two distinct aspects of the district: Invest and Visit. Each uses a different URL to take visitors to the relevant section of the website.  Swordfish created the site from an open brief, working closely with the Council’s tourism team to provide the content. We had previously designed and written a brochure entitled Harnessing Harborough, and we took elements of that design theme through to the new website.

As with all our Local Authority websites, it was designed to be easily taken over by council staff so that Harborough’s Tourism Team can keep the content up to date. That’s working well, with the website looking as fresh as it did when first launched, which is a great achievement for a Place Marketing project.

Pull-up banners for Harborough District Council. Designed by Swordfish using the branding elements that we’d deployed in brochures and the new Invest in Harborough and Visit Harborough website.  We arranged the production of the banners as well, delivering in good time despite a tight deadline.
